In today’s news of “what are wearables capable of,” we find out that Samsung’s Gear watch can be set to receive notifications of rises in sound levels using parents’ Galaxy S5. Using the device as a listening monitor for children seems to be a novel application, though clearly one the company is not recommending as the sole means of monitoring children (as told by their legal disclaimer).
