Pebble Places Countdown on Site for Feb 24

Pebble has placed a countdown on their homepage ticking down to Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at 7 am (PST):

The exact reason for the countdown is unknown, though many expect this to be the official announcement of the either a new smartwatch or a new mysterious platform. Pebble CEO Eric Migicovsky made comments hinting towards both new hardware, and a completely revamped software platform for 2015. Migicovsky told The Verge,
“We’ve found a new framework to use as an interaction model on the watch…It doesn’t look like what we have today, and it doesn’t look like what’s on your smartphone,”
Perhaps the countdown is an announcement towards this new and exciting platform? Or perhaps it is Pebble trying to get ahead of the Mobile World Congress press announcements (MWC starts March 1st in Barcelona, Spain). Stay tuned and we will update as to the big announcement and any news before then coming out of Pebble.
