New to Wearables.com: Avegant Glyph
Written By Allie Quill
Each Friday, we will alert our readers as to what devices and companies we’ve added to the authoritative Wearables.com Database over the course of the week.
This week, we added the Avegant Glyph.
The Avegant Glyph connected headset easily allows you to immerse yourself in another world while remaining part of the real world. The headset doubles as wireless headphones for when audio-only experiences are desired, like listening to your favorite music, and the headband can be moved down to cover your eyes allowing full visual access to the headset’s optics. Avegant Glyph takes advantage of a virtual retinal display to transmit vivid, life-like images directly to the eye (retina). The headset features passive and active noise cancellation to keep you immersed in the sounds of the virtual world you wish to explore. The band of the headset covering your eyes is positioned in such a way that you can peer over the band to see the real world around you, or keep your eyes focused on the virtual world from the headset.
Avegant entered the wearable space with their debut product the Aveegant Glyph. The Avegant Glyph is a virtual reality headset that features vivid life-like clarity and exceptional sound. The headset can be used in pure audio mode similar to traditional wireless headphones.
