New to the Wearables.com Database: The Zeiss VR One

This week, we added the Zeiss VR One.

Zeiss VR One

The Zeiss VR One is a virtual reality headset for everyone. The headset turns your smartphone into virtual reality world by placing it on a tray in front of Zeiss optics. Leading edge optical design with Zeiss lenses allow for the ultimate immersive visual experience. The headset supports phone screen sizes beween 4.7 and 5.2 inches, and is compatible with the iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S5, and Samsung Galaxy S6. A see-through front shield allows for smartphone cameras to be integrated for augmented reality applications.

Founded in 1846 in Jena, Germany by optician Carl Zeiss, Zeiss has for over 150 years led the way in optical systems, industrial measurements, and medical devices. In 2015 Zeiss entered the wearables and virtual reality marketplace with the Zeiss VR One virtual reality headset. The VR One combines Zeiss’ precision optic lenses and your smartphone to create one of the easiest and immersive virtual reality experiences.
