Google Glass Teams Up with Ray Ban Maker

Continuing its efforts to popularize its still-in-product-development-testing Google Glass project, Google has teamed up with the company known for making just about every known brand eyewear out there. Luxottica, parent company of such famous eyewear brands as Ray Ban, Persol, Oakley, and Oliver Peoples, is the largest player in the fashionable eyewear market. Seriously outside of Warby Parker, they own the space. Given Luxottica’s core competencies of eyewear design and sales, this partnership seems to be a great move in Google’s efforts to get Glass into the mainstream.
